An exquisite antique Victorian bangle from the late 19th century depicting a belt with a buckle on the front, decorated with blue enamel stripes and five pearls.
Buckle motifs were popular in the Victorian era as their infinite loop and secure buckle symbolised eternal love and a strong unbreakable bond.
The round face opens up at the front and reveals a concealed locket underneath. It’s complete with a glass window and would be the perfect place to insert a cherished photograph of a loved one.
The bangle is fashioned entirely in 18ct gold with ornate, chased patterning running around the outer band. It’s a wonderful antique treasure and held securely around the wrist by a box clasp at the side.
